The Vintage Heart Two-Tone Ring uses the oldest motif in jewellery and keeps it small, which is the difference between a piece an adult wears and one that reads as costume. A gold-tone heart sits against a silver-tone band, so the motif is picked out by contrast rather than by size.

The two-tone construction gives the ring a second job. It coordinates with both gold and silver pieces elsewhere on the hand, which means it slots into an existing collection instead of demanding one built around it. The vintage styling keeps it from looking like this year's design.
