The Licia Wedge Espadrilles solve the summer problem of wanting height without wanting heels. A wedge sole gives you the lift of a heel while spreading the weight across the whole foot, which is why you can wear these to a garden wedding and still be standing at the end of it. The ankle strap keeps the foot secure rather than letting it slide forward.

Black is the only colour and it is the right one for a wedge, because a dark base keeps the volume of the sole from overwhelming the leg. Sizing runs 35 through 41. The strap buckles at the ankle so the fit adjusts, and the wedge is stable enough for grass, decking and uneven ground where a stiletto simply is not an option.

Wear the Licia with a summer dress, wide leg linen trousers or a midi skirt. They add height to an outfit without changing how the day is going to go. One of the most practical dressy shoes in the Marlowe & Rue range. Brush the upper gently and keep the espadrille sole away from prolonged wet.
